RE.SEARCH
Re.Search is a professional dance program created by NOD for dancers who wish to immerse themselves in the creative worlds of internationally active choreographers engaged in the ongoing evolution of their artistic language, within a research-driven environment supported by tailored mentoring
The program opens with three introductory days dedicated to preparing the group for the work ahead, building cohesion, and introducing the mentoring structure that will support the full journey.
In Re.Search, dancers work closely with choreographers on original creations that are conceived, developed, and shaped entirely within each five-week residency.
Rather than learning pre-existing material, dancers become active participants in the emergence of the work: from the first intuition to daily transformations, from experimentation to the construction of form.
They enter the choreographer’s working language, observe priorities and decision-making processes, and contribute to the choices that shape the work: what to keep, what to transform, how to structure material.
This experience fosters adaptability, responsibility, and creative maturity.
Re.Search is a space where tools are not only transmitted, but accompanied. A place where dancers are supported in transforming information into experience, and experience into a conscious, personal artistic voice in continuous evolution.
Each creative process culminates in a studio Open Rehearsal, offering participants a valuable opportunity to share their evolving work with the community, marking a significant step in their artistic trajectory.
Check out the list of guest choreographers and send us your video materials — selection will be based on the order of applications, so the sooner you apply, the better your chances.
Please note: It will not be possible to switch choreographers or join a different group. Choreographers will be assigned according to the group currently open for registration.
TO APPLY
Requirements:
To be a dance student aged 18 and up, with a strong contemporary and ballet technique, or professional dancer and teacher.
Fill out the google form by entering your cv and two separate links (only Vimeo or YouTube links no password will be accepted): one showcasing yourself in an improvisation session (1/2 minutes sharing your skills/virtuosity as dancer, working with a task to your choice, tapping into what moves you as a movement artist/ sharing where you currently are in your movement research) and one to two minutes of a set choreography (If sending a group footage please indicate which one of the dancers is you). All are welcome regardless of ethnicity, gender or sexual preference. Limited spots available.

You can split the payment of the total tuition in agreement with the administration.
HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS
The program allows the opportunity to choose the length of your participation:

1 Academic year program ( 9 months from September to June)

1 or 2 Sessions, divided as follows:
Schedule:

Ballet class every monday, wednesday, friday 9:00 am to 10:15 am

Session with the choreographer from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
Participants have the opportunity to enhance their experience by also joining the ICD - Contemporary Dance Program, held in the mornings. This program is highly complementary to NUOVA X and provides an enriching addition to their training.
Enrolling in both the ICD and Nuova X programs not only offers a more comprehensive training experience but also qualifies participants for a special discounted rate.
