NOD IS OPEN
Nuova Officina della Danza is a post-diploma training and research center for professional and pre-professional international dancers. Through its programs ICD and Nuova X, it aims to shape young dance artists into the next generation of professionals.
With a deep focus on artistic research and the individual growth of its dancers, supported by an exceptional lineup of internationally renowned choreographers, NOD stands as an important point of reference on the global contemporary dance scene.
It is an open rehearsal held at the end of each residency hosted by the professional program Nuova X, directed by emerging Israeli choreographer Tom Weinberger.
This moment of sharing invites the audience to witness up close the outcome of a five-week creative process developed through the collaboration between artists and choreographers.
It is not the presentation of a finished performance, but rather an opportunity for the public to experience an immersive encounter with artistic research — the beating heart of a conscious and creative transformation within an ongoing and natural evolution.
For NOD, this represents the driving force of research that allows dance to grow and act as a mirror of a world in constant transformation.

NOD AND THE CITY
NOD maintains long-standing collaborations with key organizations on Turin’s cultural scene, including:
Torino Danza Festival and Interplay, with which NOD organizes masterclasses featuring prominent guest companies from the festivals.
DAMS Torino, with whom an active dialogue has developed over the years, connecting practice and theory through the participation of students invited to attend open rehearsals with resident choreographers.
Genau and NOD have recently formed a partnership that led to the creation of “IMPRONTA – Movers Challenge”, an experimental dance battle that took over Turin’s most acclaimed club night, where dancers from Italy and abroad competed to the techno beats of DJ Gandalf at Azimut Club.

With the open rehearsal on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, NOD opens the doors of its bright and inspiring studio on Via Mantova 34. The rehearsal will be followed by a short talk with the artists, offering an opportunity to delve deeper into the creative journey where emotions and physical movement reach moments of great intensity.
