IS NOD YOUR NEXT STEP?
Why to study at NOD?
With the ICD Contemporary Dance Program, you have the opportunity to work with guest artists from some of the most prestigious dance companies in the world. Each week introduces a new movement practice and research focus, asking you to adapt to diverse movement qualities and expand your range of skills. Through the distinctive practice of rotating teachers and artists weekly, you not only broaden your repertoire but also work toward uncovering and refining your individual style and strengths.
With the Re.Search Professional Dance Program, you have the opportunity to work closely with two choreographers on original creations, to immerse yourself in the creative worlds of internationally active choreographers while developing your artistic language within a research-driven environment supported by tailored mentoring.
The Summer Intensive provides a unique opportunity to work with world-class artists and explore some of the most significant contemporary repertoires. Whether you join for one, two, or all three weeks, you’ll immerse yourself in an environment designed to inspire creativity, refine your skills, and expand your artistic horizons.
Choosing NOD means entering an international community built for exploration. Here, practice and research move together, and every experience is shaped by artists who are actively contributing to the contemporary field.
Prospective Dancers
Over time, NOD has successfully connected male and female dancers with opportunities in the professional world, offering them diverse pathways. Our aim is to further expand this network, fostering even stronger ties between national and international dance communities.
Nuova Officina della Danza (NOD) strives to be a generative meeting space where dance is seen as an expression of one’s uniqueness, and where bodies express, first of all, vitality. With this in mind, NOD seeks to train daring dancers, willing to tackle a rigorous yet flexible dance program. For NOD, what characterizes a daring dancer is not the absence of fear but, on the contrary, a willingness of embracing and processing one's own vulnerabilities.
NOD’s intent is to generate a change for dancers, teachers, and anyone else part of the program. To encourage and support their personal and professional growth, and create an environment, through a thoughtful organization of time and space, that facilitates, literally and not, any leaps forward.
Choosing NOD means joining a space that expands your professional opportunities while supporting your personal growth, helping you take real leaps forward in your dance journey.
