This year at NOD, the summer does not end but... Continues with our new special SDP - Summer development program and join world-renowned dancer, choreographer, educator, and Artistic Director of Nuova X Professional Dance Program, Tom Weinberger, for a summer lab-intensive July 29th - August 3rd in Torino, Italy.
Designed to support and enrich emerging dance professionals as they journey into the field, this intimate, in-depth intensive workshop is tailored for dancers seeking to push, discover, unravel, and expand their practices through Tom's specific clarity in movement quality and choreographic form.

Spencer’s class will be based on the movement principles and ideals of choreographer Crystal Pite. Improvisation class will explore themes of instinct vs. intellect, articulation and dynamic. The class will be an opportunity for participants to investigate isolation and coordination through anatomical awareness and whole-body integration through sensorial movement practices.Repertoire classes will focus on these same themes and be an opportunity for participants to engage with the choreographic work through an exploratory non-performative lens.

To Apply
Dance students with strong contemporary and ballet techniques, ages 18 and older, are eligible to enrol in the Intensive Summer Program.
To apply it is necessary to register in the Google doc and upload your material:

One video showcasing yourself in an improvisation session (1 min. max sharing your skills/virtuosity as dancer, working with a task to your choice, tapping into what moves you as a movement artist/ sharing where you currently are in your movement research) and one minute of a set choreography (If sending a group footage please indicate which one of the dancers is you) only Vimeo or You Tube links - NO password

Only after receiving our confirmation, we will send you the registration form to be returned completed and signed along with a copy of the deposit paid to dancenod@gmail.com.
Fee
The Summer Intensive Program can be individually constructed upon need and interest.
For example participating only in individual workshops, a week or a month.

To attend the whole summer program it is necessary to be a registered member and pay the registration fee of € 20,00 valid only for the summer program.

For those interested in more than one week of workshops it is necessary to become a NOD member. In accordance with the current Italian laws we need a copy of a current medical certificate stating that you are in good health before the starting date. In the case of residency abroad, you will be asked to have a medical certificate issued by an Italian doctor here upon your arrival. We will manage a visit for you on your arrival, this will be at your expense.

If you participate in only one week, you can choose NOT to become a NOD member. The fee will include VAT taxes, you will be invoiced ed and you will not be required to do the medical examination.
Cancellation Policy
Under no circumstances, even if you change your mind for any reason, is the deposit refundable. If you notify the administration in advance, you can arrange to pay the remaining amount in installments based on your needs

The organization is NOT responsible for refunding the full amount paid for participation if the workshop(s) described above are canceled due to force majeure or other uncontrollable circumstances, but only if it is caused by the organization itself.

Nuova Officina della danza Asd regrets that it is unable to provide reimbursements in the event of a cancellation. Please verify that you can attend the dates.

For particular situations regarding the replacement of any teachers for whatever reason, it is at the total discretion of the organization in making any adjustments or changes. This will be immediately communicated. With this being said, this will not be considered grounds for any type of refund requests

If you cannot make a lesson or lessons during workshops or a master class or normal lessons provided, exclusively for reasons attributable to the organization, it is the obligation of the organization to return the full amount paid for participation.
Method of payment
Fee payment should be made only after receiving our confirmation of admission and receiving the registration form via email.
