NOD’s goal is to provide a continuous training program for dancers to become professionals. It is our desire to create an open and dynamic platform that is constantly evolving.
Every workshop is included in the ICD Program and open to 3/5 external students.

Class description
Experimentation and research, key elements of the work of the choreographer Macia Del Prete, feedher unconditional and visceral love for dance and movement in its most organic and pure meaning. Her incessant curisity and her background made of eclectic experiences have given birth to a personal language that has its focal point of approach the study of the naturalmess and authenticity of the physical gesture.

Descriprion "Lizards in Shoes":
Lizards in Shoes incorporates various elements of different styles such as acting, popping, contemporary dance, breaking,... which results in a strong theatrically-physical way of working.
This workshop will introduce you to various movement concepts based on those styles to spark the creativity within yourself, which can help with making and finding your own movements, phrases, qualities, states, characters,...

Class description
The class focuses on developing strategies for being present while investigating the perpetual dynamic negotiations within the body and the space around it. The class begins with isolation exercise, exploring and reacquainting ourselves with our bodies and the space we find ourselves in. The exercises incrementally layers movement and compositional strategies that challenge participants to experience themselves and the people around them as one.
Working towards increasing self-awareness and identifying stimuli inside and outside of the body, using the mind as a catalyst for shifts in sensation and perception, and curiously exploring possibilities in movement.
The class progresses with individual and group exercises that allow participants to examine the propositions of the opening improvisational discoveries.

Each day will start with a class, followed by creative research and the study of choreographic material from Tom’s work.
We will put our skills to practice and deepen our research, cultivating different sources to move from and increasing our awareness of the body as a whole.
We will focus on strengthening and softening, inviting conversation and tuning in to the body’s various potentials of expression.

Class description
Starting with a warm up focusing on elasticity and body part awareness, we will then delve into exploring moods, speeds and directions of the body.
I like to give the dancers the opportunity to create new movement patterns by pushing physical boundaries and direction flows, aiming to work on demonstrating diversity and a stronger sense of identity of the individual and how to maintain it in a group and above all, not neglecting our playfulness and abandonment.

4 days session
The workshop
We will begin with guided improvisation; the focus will be on inhabiting a full, available body whilst maintaining a sense of economy and sustainability. Together we will then begin to build simple phrases that aim to help you apply the ideas discovered through the guided improvisation to set movement material.
As the workshop progresses we will move away from simplicity and as we construct more material we will search for increasing levels of texture, mobility, complexity, dexterity and rhythm.
